7.06.08 The Specific Heats are back! We'll be playing a couple of shows this coming weekend and are getting stoked for the eventual release of our 'New' 7" EP "Back Through Thyme"! 2.9.08 The Specifc Heats are on show hiatus while Marisa & Rikky go on tour with The Besties. We will return in May 2008 with a new 7" on the way! 11.26.07 Please welcome Marisa and Rikky (both of The Besties) to The Specific Heats! Marisa plays the Farfisa Organ / Keyboard and Rikky is now playing bass. And for our next show, Jed Smith (of My Teenage Stride) will be joining us on guitar! Can you say SUPERGROUP? ................. 3.2.07 We're playing at T.T. The Bear's tonight with The Essex Green and are totally psyched! Also, we've started recording our next release, an all-new 4 song EP that will hopefully be out by next spring. 2.11.07 We've got some exciting shows coming up! and even though we've officially moved to Brooklyn, NY (2/3 of us anyway), they're both back in Boston! We've all been super busy since the move, but we promise to get our act to gether and start booking some shows in NYC real soon. In merch news, starting back a couple of months ago, whenever you buy a copy of "Aboard a Spaceship of the Imagination" from us online or at a show, we include a LIMITED CD-R EP with 6 exclusive tracks, 3 originals and 3 covers. Well, there are only about 15 left! The Carl Sagan Encyclopedia Galactica Remix that has graced our MySpace page, a Lovin' Spoonful cover, and a song from when we recorded the record are all included on the EP.
